Apify Store is the core of our revenue stream and our fastest-growing product. We're looking for an experienced product manager to lead our newly created Apify Store experience team. You'll drive the evolution of our marketplace, optimize revenue growth, and create exceptional experiences for both developers selling their solutions and customers purchasing them.

This role combines product management with deep understanding of e-commerce metrics, marketplace dynamics, recent trends, and best practices. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to build a world-class marketplace that connects developers with businesses needing web scraping and automation solutions.


What you’ll be working on:

  • Be part of the newly created product team, reporting to the product's VP, and work with engineering on a daily basis.

  • Define and execute the product strategy for Apify Store, focusing on revenue growth, user acquisition and retention.

  • Optimize Store experience for both sellers (developers) and buyers (from solopreneurs to large corporations).

  • Analyze marketplace metrics to identify growth opportunities.

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative tests in cooperation with continuous user feedback to improve usability and customer satisfaction.

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to drive Store visibility and increase transaction volume.

  • Conduct competitive analysis of other developer-oriented marketplaces and e-commerce platforms.

  • Work with a team where the product manager, designer, and tech lead are equals.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders - including design, sales, data analysis, developer experience, product advocates, and marketing teams - to create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with our business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Work closely with other product teams in dual-track development to prioritize the most impactful opportunities.

They say there are no perfect candidates, but you might be the one if you have:

  • Experience with subscription models and SaaS monetization strategies (essential).

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices (desirable).

  • Understanding of e-commerce KPIs, conversion optimization, marketplace trust, ratings/review systems, and quality control (nice to have).

  • Familiarity with web scraping, automation, or developer tools markets (nice to have).

  • Knowledge of best practices in product management and agile development processes.

  • Understanding of business strategies, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape, and the ability to align product initiatives with overarching business goals.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive product improvements.

  • An experimental mindset.

By the end of the first 3 months, we expect you to:

  • Receive orientation and training to help you learn Apify’s culture, values, and how the various teams work together Apify.

  • Learn about our tools, processes, and workflows to understand where you fit in.

  • Familiarize yourself with the Apify platform and our Integration portfolio.

  • Perform a competitive analysis of an assigned area to better understand the problem and the current state of the market.

  • Meet with our customers and inquire about their top concerns and the most significant challenges they face while evaluating and choosing Actors in Apify Store.

  • Understand the acquisition channels through which Apify gets customers and its main competitive advantages.

  • Deliver your first wins (a small or medium-sized feature.)

By the end of the first 6 months, we expect you to:

  • Actively participate in evaluating and planning the overall roadmap against quarterly OKRs.

  • Understand what sort of data is collected about your product area, where it’s stored, who is responsible for it, and how you can access it to support any features you are scoping.

  • Start to take ownership of channels and projects without extensive guidance from established team members.

  • Take ownership of your roadmap.
