To support this mission, we're looking for a Social Media Specialist to scale how Apify shows up across our communities. You'll own the conversation layer. That means social listening, replying to mentions and DMs, spotting reposting opportunities, and turning every high-value signal into amplification, so Apify's voice reaches more developers, customers, and partners.

What you'll be working on:

  • Run social media community management on LinkedIn and X. Monitor mentions and DMs via social listening, reply to comments, and route high-value signals (product feedback, support, leads, influencer prospects) to the right team.
  • Spot and write quote-based reposts. Turn industry posts, Apifier content, and customer mentions into a steady reposting output of 20+ quote reposts per week, with copy that fits the Apify voice.
  • Build amplification workflows. Design how high-value mentions become more than replies: route to PMM/Sales/DevRel, repost angles, elevate to thought leadership posts.
  • Contribute to community reporting. Collect data for monthly reporting and write community insights digests for the Marketing team.
  • Support daily social media work. Pitch in on light copywriting, editing, visual briefs, and repurposing when capacity allows.

Who we're looking for:

  • You have 2+ years in social media community management, customer support, or a similar role, ideally in tech or B2B/SaaS. If you're coming from support, we'll want to see genuine interest in social and clear drive toward the transition.
  • You have a proven track record of replying, engaging, and routing community signals at scale, not just scheduling posts.
  • You own work end-to-end. You pick things up and finish them, or you flag blockers without waiting to be asked.
  • You have strong written English (C1+). Concise, on-brand, and comfortable shifting tone between professional reply and playful repost.
  • You have solid copywriting instincts. You can draft short-form copy that sounds human, fits the brand, and lands with a technical audience.
  • You genuinely enjoy social media. You follow trends, understand what works on LinkedIn and X, and have hands-on experience running accounts on both platforms.
  • You're curious about tech and developer tools and willing to learn Apify deeply enough to engage credibly with developers.
  • You're comfortable with AI tools beyond a chat interface and use them to automate or speed up your workflows. New to AI? Apify is a great place to learn.

By the end of the first 3 months, we expect you to:

  • Complete onboarding, build relationships across Marketing, and start engaging with Apifiers on social by liking, reposting, and commenting daily.
  • Get to know Apify from the inside. Use Actors in your own workflows, explore common use cases, and follow industry voices so you can engage credibly with developers.
  • Run community management and reposts independently. Replies, mentions, spam filtering, and a consistent 20+ quote-style reposts per week aligned with the Apify voice.
  • Navigate and route incoming signals. Understand the types of mentions we receive, spot high-potential ones, and route them to the right team: PMM for product feedback, Sales for leads, DevRel for developer conversations.
  • Propose your first workflow or automation. Either an amplification path for high-value mentions, or a process improvement that saves the SM team time.
  • Produce monthly community insights digests. Mention trends, sentiment highlights, and takeaways the Marketing team can act on. 

By the end of the first 6 months, we expect you to:

  • Own community management and the repost pipeline end-to-end. From monitoring and routing to drafting and scheduling, with Apify’s voice and minimal review needed.
  • Run live amplification workflows to turn community mentions into broader social reach, with measurable lift.
  • Identify and pitch community-to-content opportunities. Spot high-potential mentions, threads, and conversations that can become blog posts, case studies, or thought leadership pieces.
  • Handle brand mentions with confidence. Including negative ones. Apify has strong brand health, but you'll own the response playbook when issues come up.
  • Build and run a thought leadership signal system. Monitor when key industry voices and Apifiers post, spot relevant industry event moments, and surface the best amplification opportunities to the team before they pass.
  • Take on selected content production tasks (repurposing, light copywriting) alongside community management.
  • Operate as a fully independent contributor. Set your own daily priorities within the SM team's direction, manage your workload end-to-end, and continuously propose improvements to workflows, tools (including ones you build or vibe-code), and processes that scale the team's impact.
