Senior Node.js Developer for FaceUp 💙 = Startup with Social Impact
Hi, I am Patrik, Head of Engineering at FaceUp and currently I am looking for a couple of experienced colleagues to join our team. At FaceUp we build a secure whistleblowing platform that promotes speak up culture and empowers people to address concerns that are often difficult to discuss in person.
Today, our cloud-based software is trusted by over 1700 companies (and schools) used in 70 countries in Europe, US and Middle East, and we are growing rapidly 🚀. The Research&Development department is in transition and 🧐 let’s call it dynamic and quickly evolving. Our team is full of bright minds and great people who want to make a difference. 🕵️ Who I'm looking for:
- Someone who cares deeply about the clean code and, more importantly, the technical direction of the project, as we are on the verge of a backend rewrite 🛠️
- Security and best practice are not only buzzwords for you 🔐
- A true team player who is used to a quickly evolving environment where #learnordie is also supplemented by #teachordie 💪😅
- Do I have to mention the experience with AI tools…? 😬
- Someone who can zoom out for the big picture, but also and doesn’t let the small stuff slip through the cracks 🔍🌍
- And we would prefer to be able to meet you 2 to 3 days a week at one of the offices –either Prague or Brno #sorrynotsorry
🛠️ What skills are essential?
- SQL databases (ideally PostgreSQL)
- API architecture (preferably GraphQL)
- Security and architectural awareness
- and Git...
🤝 What else could come in handy?
- Experience with both the OOP (ideally DDD) and functional paradigm
- Testing
- Observability practice (logging, error monitoring) – Sentry or technologies like Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
- Infrastructure awareness

- For us, security is crucial (E2E encryption, ISO 27001, etc.)
