About the project
We’re partnering with an early-stage fintech privacy startup led by a team of international engineers and founders with roots in Brazil, Canada and the US. The project focuses on privacy-preserving finance and crypto tools, blending performance with advanced cryptographic concepts (think homomorphic encryption, ZK-STARKs, ZK-SNARKs, ZCash (privacy-protecting cryptocurrency), etc.). Don't worry, deep knowledge is not required, at least you should be interested in these topics.
🧠 Tech stack you'll work with:
Rust (core language)
JavaScript or Java (for surrounding components)
WebAssembly (nice-to-have)
Later stages: mobile apps (iOS & Android)
👨💻 What you’ll do:
Build a privacy-focused core product using Rust
Contribute across the stack (frontend/backend — ideally, you're full-stack)
Interact with web APIs and possibly crypto-related libraries
Join early technical discussions, help shape the architecture and roadmap
🌍 Remote setup:
Most of the team works fully remotely
Async-friendly, timezone overlap preferred but not strict

In a few weeks or the coming months — no rush, we’re happy to wait for the right person 🙂
What we expect from you:
✅ 4+ years of professional Rust experience
✅ Full-stack engineering mindset (comfortable jumping between backend & frontend)
✅ Solid knowledge of JavaScript or Java
✅ Curiosity about zero-knowledge proofs, encryption, or cryptography (you don’t need to be an expert!)
✅ Hacker mindset — self-taught or curious engineers very welcome
✅ Strong communication skills and fluent English
✅ Bonus points for WebAssembly, privacy/crypto projects, or mobile dev experience
