Finance Controller
About Us
wflow is a fast-growing SaaS platform revolutionizing document and invoice management through automation, AI, and user-friendly design. We are building the future of digital finance operations — and we are looking for a proactive, analytical, and hands-on Finance Controller to join our team in Prague.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Reporting: Preparation of financial reports in Excel and PowerPoint for internal and external stakeholders.
- Controlling Procedures: Set up and maintain controlling frameworks ensuring consistency, transparency, and reliability of financial and operational data.
- Reconciliation Activities: Perform regular reconciliation between invoicing records and the Sales pipeline to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Finance Software Tools: Administer finance-related software and tools, ensure their optimal usage, and actively seek and propose new innovative tools.
- Business Intelligence: Actively participate in, and lead where appropriate, projects focused on building and enhancing Business Intelligence capabilities (Power BI, Metabase, or similar).
- Operational Finance Tasks: Take over and execute a variety of operational tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily financial operations across the company.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a unique hybrid: someone who understands finance inside-out, yet also feels comfortable working with data and BI tools. The best candidate combines a finance controller’s rigor with a data analyst’s curiosity.
Requirements
- Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of accounting principles under Czech standards.
- SaaS Business Understanding: At least a general idea of how SaaS businesses operate, including key metrics (ARR, Churn, CAC, CLV) and financial modeling basics.
- BI & Data Tools: Experience with Business Intelligence platforms (e.g. Power BI, Metabase, Looker, Tableau) or database management and querying (SQL basics a plus).
- AI Enthusiasm: Active interest in AI tools and their application in finance and business; you should be an AI fan and regular user.
- Language Skills:
- English at a good working level (minimum B2, ideally C1).
- Knowledge of German is a strong advantage.
- Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills are a must-have (pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling, charts).
- Startup Attitude:
- Hands-on, proactive, and ready to "go get it yourself" without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Critical thinking — not afraid to ask "why" and challenge the status quo.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and changing environment.
