Would you like to lead a team of talented developers, shape the direction of our cloud product, and still stay close to the code? At Safetica, we’re building a cloud-native solution that protects sensitive data in cloud applications like Microsoft 365. Our service already protects over a million emails every week for 400+ customers worldwide. Currently, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer with ambitious to grow into the lead role to help us scale further and push our mission forward.

What you’ll do

  • Join and support a skilled development team working on cloud infrastructure solutions that protect sensitive data in applications such as Microsoft SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online. Our project was born in the cloud and was designed from the ground up for microservices.
  • Stay hands-on with development — whether it’s designing architecture, reviewing code, or solving complex backend problems in C#. You’ll remain technically involved and close to the product.
  • Help drive technical execution by translating product goals into deliverables, planning iterations, setting priorities, and helping the team stay focused. You’ll work closely with a Scrum Master to keep agile processes running smoothly and a Product Owner to help align engineering efforts with the product vision.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to mentor and coach teammates — from juniors finding their path to seniors honing their craft. You’ll get support in developing these skills from our Director of Cloud Development, MiloĆĄ Minaƙík, who’ll help you grow in team strategy and technical direction.

Technology stack

  • We are creating a new cloud product on the Azure platform. Our product is built on Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service, NoSQL databases, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
  • We work with Azure DevOps and Git, using Continuous Integration and Delivery
  • We use C# and .NET 8.
  • We utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • The architecture is based on microservices.
  • We use GitHub Copilot which helps us streamline both development and testing.

Must-have

  • Strong backend development skills in C#.
  • Interest in supporting and mentoring others — whether you’ve led a team before or want to grow into that role.
  • Experience with agile development practices and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you're comfortable in both technical discussions and team settings
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset when it comes to delivering features and solving problems

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Azure cloud services, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background in cloud product development.
