Hello, we’re Datamole: a friendly data & AI company of 80+ people. We’re a mix of data scientists, data engineers, and fullstack developers. We develop custom AI, IoT & UI solutions for industrial companies in agriculture, machinery or biotech.

We are looking for a skilled and people-oriented Head of Project Leads to drive delivery excellence and grow our project leadership team. In this role, you will lead a team of 8 Project Leads, support their development, assign them to suitable projects, and establish best practices across our project portfolio.

To stay hands-on and close to delivery, you will also manage one small to mid-sized project directly. This role blends coaching, strategic oversight, and active delivery to ensure both team and project success.

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

Project Leadership Mastery – Deep expertise in managing projects using agile methodologies, with a focus on delivery excellence and process scalability.
People Development & Coaching – Ability to mentor, support, and grow Project Leads, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Excellent Communication - Excellent communicator who actively listens to Project Leads, understands the challenges they face, and facilitates constructive discussions to explore solutions, remove blockers, and build alignment.
Solid Technical Understanding – Strong grasp of technical concepts, systems, and software development processes, enabling effective collaboration with engineering, as well as the ability to support Project Leads in navigating technical discussions and decisions.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence – Skilled in designing, implementing, and evolving best practices, tools, and workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and satisfaction across teams.
Account Management Awareness (Nice to have) – Understanding of account management principles and client relationship dynamics, with the ability to support Project Leads in aligning delivery with client expectations and identifying opportunities for added value.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and support a team of Project Leads across various domains (DE, DS, DA, UI).
Drive excellence in project management and delivery processes across all projects, ensuring both customer satisfaction and a positive experience for internal teams.
Monitor project performance metrics and propose initiatives for efficiency and quality.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and feedback to foster growth and autonomy in the field of project leadership.
Create and promote best practices for project planning, execution, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Lead regular retrospectives and knowledge-sharing sessions to drive project leadership improvement.
Stay up to date on trends in project management and agile development, and bring in innovative approaches.
