About the Company

FLAE Robotics is a pioneer in AI technologies for hospitality. We are creating the first AI receptionist and reservation agent for hotels and transforming the future of the hospitality industry. Our product is not a simple chatbot or voicebot, we are actually implementing very complex business processes that require orchestration of communication platforms, AI agentic system, and integrations with hotel system. We are a startup, and there is a lot of room to change the course of the product, change the way we do things, and what the product looks like both on the surface and underneath.

About the Role

Do you enjoy building complex and unique things in Python, working with databases, cloud, integrations, AI agents, LLMs, RAG, and modern frontends? Are you curious about AI and want to be part of a small team creating something brand new in the hospitality industry?

We’re looking for a Back-end Engineer who’s comfortable with Python and SQL and DevOps technologies who values good engineering practices like automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.

What You’ll Do

Build and improve backend services in Python (FastAPI preferred, but any framework experience is fine)
Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL (schema design, queries, performance)
Heavily contribute to the AI functionality of the system – we are not just adding AI for the sake of adding AI, we 100% rely on LLMs to help us translate non-structured communication streams into structured data and back
LangChain, LangGraph, Eleven Labs, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic
Develop interfaces (HTTP, queues) for frontend and integrations
Collaborate with frontend developers to make data flow smooth and reliable
Use tools like Git, CI/CD, and observability practices to keep things stable and maintainable - we have many clients, many environments, and super-high reliability bar

What You Must Know Day One

Solid knowledge of Python and web technologies
Solid knowledge of foundations – HTTP, DBs, async programming, OOP, ...
Comfortable with SQL (PostgreSQL experience is a plus)
Familiar with Git and Linux basics
Care about writing clean, tested, and maintainable code
Some experience with Docker (Kubernetes or cloud experience is a bonus, not a must) or Cloud
Fluent English & Czech
