At Ematiq, we build the infrastructure backbone for real-time algorithmic trading systems.

We are currently looking for a DevOps & IT Operations Engineer to join our infrastructure team. Your work will be a mix of maintaining our cloud environments, ensuring smooth daily operations, and supporting our developers. You will help us keep our systems reliable while gradually taking on more complex DevOps challenges.

We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation who is eager to learn and grow. Whether you are looking to deepen your cloud expertise in a dynamic, high-performance environment or want to expand your operational foundation into advanced DevOps, we value pragmatism.

We need an engineer who isn't afraid to dive into oncall support and network troubleshooting, but who also understands the value of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.

What will be your daily responsibilities? 📋

Cloud operations: Helping maintain and monitor our AWS cloud infrastructure (ECS, EKS, Lambda).
CI/CD + automation: Supporting and troubleshooting our CI/CD pipelines in GitHub and using IaC for routine operations.
Continuous Learning: Collaborating closely with our senior engineers to learn our architecture and gradually take on more advanced infrastructure tasks.
AI Integration: Actively using AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code) to work smarter and learn faster, while developing strong engineering judgment.
IT admin & networking: Handling occasional internal IT agenda, access management, VPNs, and basic network troubleshooting.
Once a month or two, provide 24/7 on-call support: Troubleshooting system issues, monitoring alerts and helping our trading team with production blockers.

OS, scripting: Bash, Python 3, Linux administration
AI dev tools: Claude Code and others
