Are you excited about creating tools that help organizations run mapping infrastructure on their own servers? Do you prefer orchestrating and guidelining AI agents on complex tasks to writing code manually?
We’re looking for an experienced React Developer to help us develop and improve the frontend of MapTiler Server. You’ll work on interfaces that make powerful mapping infrastructure running in customers’ environments reliable, intuitive, and easy to manage.
You can work from anywhere in Czechia (with occasional team meetups at the MapTiler Hub in Brno) or join us in our newly renovated modern office in the center of Brno.
How we work
- We work in 2-week sprints.
- We plan development in Jira, as well as individual tasks.
- Our applications run in Docker containers, we version Ansible playbooks in Git and keep documentation in Confluence.
- Google Workspace is used for electronic communication (Chat, Meet, Email).
- The company's structure is based on the unFIX model, which helps innovation and agile development.
What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and improve the frontend of MapTiler Server and relevant web dashboard parts.
- Build interfaces for managing and configuring mapping infrastructure.
- Define, operate, and evaluate agentic tools and structures to create new or contribute to existing frontend codebases.
- Connect the frontend with backend services and APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable code and tests.
- Review the code of your teammates and contribute to improving code quality.
- Contribute to internal documentation and share knowledge with the product team and frontend developers across teams.
What we expect from you
- 5+ years of experience with frontend development using React.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend development practices.
- Hands-on experience with using AI agents to contribute to frontend codebases.
- Ability to work on complex interfaces and technical products.
- Attention to detail and a focus on creating clean, maintainable code.
- Experience collaborating in a development team and participating in code reviews.
- Curiosity and motivation to keep learning and exploring new technologies.
Nice to have
- Interest in maps or geospatial technology.
- Full-stack experience to understand the broader scope of the On-prem product.
- Experience working on developer tools, admin interfaces, or infrastructure products.
- Experience with Agile development.
