Are you an experienced TypeScript Developer looking for your next big challenge? Join our Cloud crew and become a vital part of the team building the Public API for our core product – MapTiler Platform.

In this role, you’ll work closely on our critical cloud systems to ensure high performance, stability, and scalability. You will have a direct impact on a system that makes map integration seamless and highly reliable for developers and major companies worldwide.

You can work from anywhere in Czechia or join us in our newly renovated modern office in the center of Brno.

How we work

• We work in 2-week sprints.
• We plan development in Jira, as well as individual tasks.
• Our applications run in Docker containers, we version Ansible playbooks in Git and keep documentation in Confluence.
• Google Workspace is used for electronic communication (Chat, Meet, Email).
• The company's structure is based on the unFIX model, which helps innovation and agile development.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and scale high-performance APIs for MapTiler Platform.
• Focus heavily on backend code quality, long-term system stability, and reliability.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and serverless components for maximum performance.
• Backfill critical system capacities and ensure the resilience of our architecture.
• Write clean, well-documented code and comprehensive unit tests.

What we expect from you

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern backend development.
• Deep knowledge of both Node.js and web worker / serverless environments.
• Practical experience with network architectures and designing scalable backend systems.
• Good knowledge of modern web technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A team player who collaborates on a common outcome.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Experience with benchmarking and performance testing.
• Based in or near Brno (for optional face-to-face collaboration in our office).
• A passion for maps and an interest in GIS.
