What you’ll be working on:
This opportunity is for junior candidates with first experience in Czech accounting and tax. You will work alongside the CFO and Financial Controller to build modern accounting & tax operations at Apify.
Strategic expectations:
Drive bookkeeping and accounting standards in cooperation with the external accounting firm, audit firm
Become the point of contact for the company accounting
Build tax compliance competency
Key responsibilities:
Help with monthly financial closings (bookkeeping/accounting)
Leverage technology to automate AP and monthly closings
Tax compliance monitoring
Day-to-day agenda:
Perform basic bookkeeping and accounting operations; use automation tools to reduce routine tasks
Drive and help with monthly reconciliation efforts
Coordinate with key stakeholders: internal financial controlling team, external accounting service, audit firm, external tax advisors
Reconcile books against management reporting, ensure data consistency
Monitor tax compliance
Simple forecasting of tax liabilities

You have max 3 years of experience in Czech accounting and tax
You can navigate in accounting and tax code
You are keen supporter of automation and digitalization in accounting
You are self driven problem solver & learner
You have advanced proficiency in Czech/Slovak and English
By the end of the first 3 months, we expect you to:
Have a full understanding of our accounting standards (chart of accounts, workflows, tools)
Own the bookkeeping and accounting agenda
You can execute all necessary reconciliations
By the end of the first 6 months, we expect you to:
Be responsible for end-to-end accounting operations
administer our accounting software and automation/digitalization tools
