Senior QA Engineer – Your Next Career Move

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who takes ownership of quality, enjoys exploring how an application behaves, and can spot scenarios others might overlook. You can look beyond the expected user journey, anticipate how a feature might fail, and turn those insights into clear, effective tests.

You will help ensure a reliable and seamless experience for users communicating with an AI chatbot or a live agent. Working closely with the team, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement throughout the development process and help deliver a product users can depend on.

What will you do?

• Work independently on a complex project involving mobile applications and their supporting components.

• Test mobile app features, identify potential issues, and check how the apps behave across different devices and screen sizes.

• Create and maintain automated tests using Python and Appium, and help define and improve the testing frameworks.

• Test chatbot conversations and the handover to a live agent.

• Balance manual and automated testing. Be ready to focus on manual testing when needed, such as checking key user journeys before an important release.

• Maintain a high standard of testing, report defects to the team, help prioritise them, and follow them through to resolution.

• Support junior team members in their development and guide them in creating clear, well-structured test cases.

• Keep developing your testing skills and work closely with the team using Azure DevOps and GitHub.

Personality requirements and skills

• 8+ years in software testing (manual plus automated) 

• 4+ years in test automation framework design and development

• Experience testing mobile applications on Android and/or iOS.

• Hands-on experience with Appium and Python.

• Skilled in API test automation and CI/CD for systems and infrastructure

• A curious, analytical mindset and the ability to think beyond the obvious when designing test scenarios.

• Flexibility to balance automation with hands-on manual testing as project needs change.

• Experience working with tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.

• The ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate with the team.

• You can communicate fluently about technical solutions and write clear, well-structured documentation in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience building or improving test automation frameworks and QA processes.

• Knowledge of Python, ideally with experience writing automated tests using Appium.

• Familiarity with React Native or Capacitor.

• Experience testing chatbots, live chat, or similar features.

• Knowledge of regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases
