Who are we looking for?
experienced Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer who will take an active role in designing, building and operating the infrastructure behind a growing AI technology company.
You should be a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across the entire infrastructure stack — from physical hardware and networking to Linux, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and production services.
The ideal candidate has strong practical experience in infrastructure and systems administration, a good understanding of networking and security, and the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.
In your role you will eventually…
Take ownership of infrastructure and security operations across our physical and cloud computing environments.
Design, build and operate our hosted physical data center and public cloud infrastructure.
Administer and maintain our technology stack across multiple layers, including:
physical servers and hardware,
networking,
Linux operating systems,
virtualization using XCP-ng,
Kubernetes clusters,
and application-level infrastructure.
Monitor infrastructure and production services and analyse operational data to improve reliability, performance and security.
Perform DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) activities for our production services, currently with a strong focus on VoIP telephony.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues and help ensure the availability and reliability of critical services.
Contribute to infrastructure architecture and technical decisions as the company and its technology stack grow.
Participate in R&D activities in AI, speech and language processing and work with a broad range of modern technologies.
Help us maintain our strong focus on open-source technologies and solutions.
This is a broad technical role with significant room for ownership, autonomy and professional growth. You will have the opportunity to work across many layers of modern infrastructure rather than being limited to a single technology or area.
While local candidates are preferred, the position can also be performed remotely from anywhere in the world.
We expect you to have:
Several years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, systems administration, SRE or a related field.
Strong practical knowledge of:
Linux and the command line
Bash and shell scripting
TCP/IP networking
systems and network administration
Experience operating and troubleshooting production infrastructure.
Ability to independently diagnose problems, find their root causes and implement robust solutions.
Good understanding of IT security and infrastructure reliability.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other engineers.
English sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating with colleagues in Slack and other technical discussions.
A university degree in IT, electrical engineering or another technical field is welcome, but proven practical experience is more important to us than formal education.
Skills that are a plus
Experience with any of the following is highly welcome:
virtualization, ideally XCP-ng or similar technologies,
Kubernetes,
public cloud platforms,
IT and infrastructure security,
systems and infrastructure monitoring,
networking and network security,
Python, Bash or other scripting/programming languages,
physical servers, hardware and hands-on troubleshooting,
VoIP and telecommunications infrastructure.
You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed above. What matters most is strong infrastructure fundamentals, hands-on experience, curiosity and the ability to learn and take ownership of new areas.
