QA Engineer Manual & Automation

đŸ©·About us

At PLG Group, we connect people with culture: from concerts, theatre, and festivals to art exhibitions and live events across Czechia and Slovakia.

We started out as GoOut back in 2011, driven by a simple idea: to make it easier for people to discover and experience culture. Over the years, we’ve grown together with the local scene, and in 2023, we became part of the PLG Group, one of Europe’s leading live-event platforms.

Since then, our group has expanded to include Ticketstream and Ticketportal, bringing together the strongest local brands under one roof. Thanks to that, we can keep doing what we love — supporting culture — but now with even better tools, technology, and reach to improve the experience for organisers and visitors alike.

What hasn’t changed? Our mindset. We still work in a creative, open, and no-BS way, close to the artists, promoters, and audiences who make culture happen every day.

💚Your role

As a QA Engineer Manual & Automation, you’ll contribute directly to our mission of connecting people with culture. You’ll have the space to take ownership, shape processes, and make a meaningful impact in your area of expertise. As a manual tester, you will be working closely with our developers, product team and other stakeholders. You will be designing and performing manual and automated testing for both web and mobile (iOS and Android) applications.

What you’ll do:

  • Test predominantly web-based applications across frontend and backend layers for different user groups, including customers, event organizers, and internal users

  • Design, maintain, and execute automated test suites, with the goal of maximising meaningful test coverage

  • Perform manual, regression, and exploratory testing where automation is not efficient or feasible

  • Define testing strategies and create test scenarios and plans based on common use cases and user flows

  • Test new features and bug fixes, ensuring they meet functional and technical requirements without negatively affecting other parts of the system

  • Take ownership of overall test quality and contribute to release readiness

  • Document, analyse, and clearly communicate identified bugs and errors

  • Proactively identify product risks, gaps in test coverage, bugs, and opportunities to improve both the product and QA processes

  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers, as well as support, business, marketing, content, and finance teams

  • Work within a cross-team QA structure, cooperating with three other QA Engineers across different products

Who we're looking for:

  • You have hands-on experience with automated testing using tools and frameworks of your choice

  • You have a solid understanding of manual testing principles and know when to apply them effectively

  • You have experience testing web applications across frontend and backend layers; experience with mobile application testing is an advantage

  • You understand the core principles of how web applications work

  • You have strong analytical skills and can proactively identify potential issues, risks, and gaps in test coverage

  • You are structured, well-organised, and detail-oriented, with a natural curiosity about how things work

  • You take ownership of quality and outcomes, not just assigned tasks

  • You can work independently while contributing to shared QA standards across teams

  • You communicate clearly and have English skills at B1 level or higher

  • You are willing to learn, improve, and evolve testing practices together with the team
