As a Senior Back End Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that support commodity trading. Your responsibilities will include improving internal workflows, enhancing automation, and integrating cutting-edge technologies to optimize trading operations. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, traders, and other stakeholders to develop software solutions that meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.

What will you be responsible for?

Design and develop software solutions to enhance trading systems, trading operations and automation.
Implement and maintain internal software applications, including web platforms and analytical tools.
Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements and ensure the systems align with business objectives.
Improve and optimize existing software solutions for better efficiency and performance.
Deploy product updates, troubleshoot production issues, and implement enhancements based on business feedback.
Maintain documentation and follow best practices for software development, security, and performance optimization.

What do we expect from you?

5-10 years of experience in JVM ecosystems with strong focus on Kotlin.
Excellent knowledge of REST API, experience with FastAPI is a plus.
Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
Experience with Git and Gitlab.
Understanding of microservices architecture (or at least SOA), event‑driven patterns, or real‑time streaming systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and get deep understanding of our business.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to complex issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

What else will also help you to succeed?

Domain Knowledge of Commodity Trading & Energy Markets.
Experience with Spring Boot.
Experience with big data technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, EventHub, Spark).
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
