Technical Writer: Become the Voice of the World’s Best 3D Printers!
The years 2024 and 2025 were action-packed years of major releases for us. We unleashed heavy hitters like the HT90, CORE One+, and CORE One L, along with our designer standout, the Signature Oak. As we move through 2026, we have no intention of slowing down—we’re constantly grinding on new innovations. Our printers are world-class and ever-evolving, which is why they demand nothing less than world-class documentation. To keep that bar high, we need manuals that are every bit as top-tier as the hardware itself.
We’re looking for a new teammate to help us take the documentation for Original Prusa to the next level. Forget about dry, soulless AI-generated copy—around here, it’s all about real-world engineering and hands-on tech.
What’s your mission?
Crafting step-by-step guides that actually make sense: You’ll write everything from detailed assembly handbooks to service manuals (component swaps, maintenance) and deep-dive technical articles.
Hands-on testing: We don’t write manuals from the comfort of a desk. You’ll roll up your sleeves and go through every single process yourself—from the first screw of an assembly to complex service repairs.
Being in the thick of it: You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, and the guys in the service department.
Visual storytelling: Photography is our backbone; it’s the foundation of every guide. Sometimes a great shot says more than a page of text. If you know your way around a camera and Photoshop, great! If not, we’ll teach you the ropes—from scene composition to camera settings and lighting.
What do you need to bring to the table?
A passion for 3D printing: You need to genuinely enjoy our product and have the drive to understand it inside and out.
Clarity and precision: You can take complex concepts and break them down so any user can understand them. You have a UX-first mindset.
Excellent English: English is your primary tool. You’ll be writing for a global audience and continuing to sharpen your language skills with us.
Independence and communication skills: We aren’t a corporate machine; we don’t have templates for everything. We need a self-starter who can forge their own path and communicate effectively across R&D, Support, and Product teams.
Bonus points if:
You have a background in hardware: You’ve got relevant experience creating manuals for similar HW products. In other words, you don’t need to be a 3D printing pro on day one, as long as you have a proven track record of creating killer documentation and a "feel" for our tech.
