We are COGVIO, an IQVIA business, company addressing the unmet needs of the pharmaceutical industry. Originally established in 2017 as a Czech start-up, COGVIO became a part of IQVIA in 2024. IQVIA is a leading global provider of information, innovative technology solutions, and contract research services to the life sciences industry to help healthcare stakeholders find better solutions for their patients and drive healthcare forward.

COGVIO products help companies with medicinal product pricing, access to markets, and market analysis. We quickly became the market leader in the Czech Republic. Currently, 9 out of the 10 biggest pharma companies in the Czech Republic use our products.

Technically, we are building a Data Mesh platform that connects hundreds of data sources and delivers a new level of insights to our customers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Lead developer who will be responsible for:

Leading a small development team
Designing and building backend applications
Management of infrastructure
Development and maintenance of data pipelines
Post-acquisition integration support
Oversight of the frontend development in React
Cooperation with the product team to help them fulfill customers’ needs

QUALIFICATION

Essential

Web development: Almost all of our projects are web applications
Java: Java experience is essential - all backend services are based on Java language
Spring (Spring boot): Spring Web MVC is the framework used by our backend services, ETL and data processing use Spring Batch
AWS
Docker: Our systems are heavily dockerized
Python: Simple scripts help us to acquire data and process them through our data pipelines
Terraform: Most infrastructure changes are made through Terraform
Fluent Czech and professional English are required

Nice to have

Advanced React experience
Previous experience in larger organizations - Cogvio is currently undergoing an integration phase that requires a hands‑on approach and close collaboration with various internal stakeholders
Using AI tools for development (e.g. GitLab, Cursor)
