We are looking for a new colleague for our parent company Orbian.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Settlements Manager, the Settlements Associate plays a key role in daily operational processes within the Operations Team – Contact Centre. The role ensures timely, accurate settlement activities, exceptional customer service, and effective collaboration across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Activities
    • Perform daily operational tasks, including reviewing batch reports and journal postings in SAP.
    • Process customer payments and collections.
    • Print and verify SAP payment runs.
    • Upload payment files into banking portals.
    • Prepare, validate, and distribute funding documentation, including draft and final Servicer Certificates.
  • Treasury Support
    • Provide back‑office support for treasury operations.
    • Confirm and verify treasury deals within the IT2 Treasury System.
    • Match and reconcile incoming counterparty confirmations.
  • Rate & Data Management
    • Maintain and update daily interest rates and currency rates using Bloomberg data.
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into internal systems.
    • Ensure that all data is handled securely and in line with ISO standards.
  • Collaboration & Issue Escalation
    • Work proactively with colleagues and support cross‑functional processes in line with the Orbian vision.
    • Escalate issues promptly to the Settlements Manager when required.
  • People, Learning & Development
    • Participate in training sessions related to migration frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
    • Share learnings and collaborate with team members to improve processes.
    • Take ownership of personal development and seek opportunities to build deeper migration expertise.


Knowledge & Experience (Essential)

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in financial services.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience working with confidential information, demonstrating discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team.
  • Experience operating in a fast‑paced environment with fluctuating workloads.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Educated to A‑Level or equivalent


Skills (Essential)

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and structure workloads effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, professional telephone manner, and a positive attitude.
  • Analytical approach to administrative processes, with the ability to identify improvements.
  • Sound decision‑making skills appropriate to the level of responsibility.
  • Experience with payment processing and banking platforms.
  • SAP or similar ERP system experience


Additional Information

  • Work on UK bank holidays may be required, with overtime compensation.
  • Occasional flexibility may be needed in line with customer and operational demands.
