We are designers, developers and partners for sustainable digitalization. Since 2012, we have left a digital footprint on more than 300 projects, and our apps make life easier for millions of people worldwide. We rely on top design, technological head start, and an exceptional in-house team. For clients, we are partners who move their business forward, and for our people, a place where they can develop (themselves), have fun and live the #AckeeSpirit. We want to be the best in what we do and share the experience with others. Thanks to this, we can grow long-term, sustain our clients' products at a high level, and give back to the community and the public. And at the same time? Save resources for our clients and employees.
Digital footprint on every device
We grew up mostly on mobile applications. Who would not know the apps for Bazoš, Zonky or Košík.cz? But the truth is that we also have a strong team for web apps: we created interactive websites for American startups, the biggest t-shirt printer in Germany, Škoda Auto management, global number one in sports news Livesport, or logistic giant HOPI. And we also leave digital footprints in Germany, where we released the official app for the German Bundestag in 2019 and received an award from the prestigious German Design Council a year later. And because we keep trying new technologies, we are always two steps ahead.
Lovely people, lovely apps
Some might think there is no time to play heroes and IT companies hire anybody who applies. That is not how it works here. We choose new people carefully, so sometimes it's more challenging to get into Ackee than Harvard. Technical expertise and personality fit are equally important to us. That is one of the reasons why there's such a great atmosphere. Ackee spirit, as we call our company values, is something you have to experience.
Sharing is caring
We regularly host meetups about different topics, cooperate with Czechitas, publish selected projects as open source and organize thematic hackathons. It is our way of giving back to the Czech IT community and sharing know-how. We like projects where we can do something meaningful – whether it's eRouška, an app for saving lives, or an app for cleaner and safer oceans. And we also take part in conferences as speackers.
Our team
Every idea counts
In Ackee, I mostly appreciate the openness and possibilities to realize my ideas. Everybody can change or improve something. Thanks to that, we started to work more on open-source activities a few years back, and now the whole community profits from it. I have never seen a situation where somebody from a position of power says: “this is how it will be because I am the boss.” We can always find common ground.

Professionals with their own style
I appreciate the professional approach of every team member and the desire to do things at the highest possible quality. We have our own visual style and working approach, which is very different from other development agencies and a lot wilder. That is why I always enjoy working with our Ackee brand. I am also happy to have the opportunity to participate in bigger and more complicated projects – the feeling that we can do anything is awesome.
