Supported by the investment group MITON, renowned for successful projects like Rohlík, Heureka, and Slevomat, we're exploring future possibilities in the world of crypto payments.

We’re trying hard to find a DevOps Engineer who loves to stay hands on but is able to mentor developers about DevOps best practices. We’d love to find a rare person who’s able to combine developers perspective (CI/CD, development tools), system administration (AWS, observability) together with security/vulnerability perspective. You don’t have to shine in all of those aspects, but they need to make you curious and somewhat excited. Have you had a substantial impact on developers' work in the past? Have you analysed and implemented on-prem and/or SaaS dev tooling? Have you fought wars with bots and bad guys trying to sneak into an infrastructure or cheat a service? Do you like to think about penetration testing? If multiple of those ring a bell, we’re looking for you.

We interact with crypto exchanges, we’re operating and processing blockchain nodes, we’re early adopters of the lightning network, our backlog is full of requests from our customers, we’ve insane amount of status quo breaking ideas, imagine all the fun :-)

We’re small (~10 R&D folks). We explore and move fast. A checklist is our most complex “process”. Are you passionate about spending most of your working time on tech-heavy subjects? Come and join us.

Our way of working is fully-remote-ready but our desire is to find people who see a benefit in a hybrid way of working, willing to collaborate physically when it makes sense, for the benefit of a feature delivery. We’ve got no policy in that regard; whatever works, works.

What you should bring to the table:

Linux administration and system knowledge is a must.
Real world experience with configuration management solutions (we’re using Ansible at the moment).
Experience with public cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS).
Broad experience with Linux systems, resources (like RDBMS) and application monitoring solutions.
Analytical thinking, highly organised mind. We don’t have the capacity to micromanage, we need to rely on your abilities.
Strong ability to prioritise and choose your battles. Our technical debt needs to be deliberate and organised.
The willingness to be regularly giving (and receiving) constructive feedback. We are following the disagree & commit principle.

Any of these is a plus:

Familiarity with containers (Docker)
Experience with performance optimisation techniques (e.g. RDBMS, we’re using Postgresql heavily).
Previous engineering experience in the crypto industry.
Experience with vulnerability management and/or penetration testing.
